COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at GEHU aspires to equip its students with the latest technical skills in order to cope well with the trends and the needs of the industry.

CIVIL ENGINEERING

The basic aim of Civil Engineering is to improve the quality of basic needs of human civilization and taking care of the naturally and humanly built environments with their planning, designing, construction, operation and maintenance.

ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The Department Of Electronics & Communication Engineering, has been continuously striving for excellence in engineering education and research. It has experienced and well-qualified faculty resources from esteemed institutes like IITs, NIT and IIITs.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

"Transforming dreams into reality" is the motto of our Education Society. The department of Mechanical Engineering at GEHU is thus following the path by “Dreaming, Inventing, Innovating and Acknowledging Challenges.” Our students are trained in solving problems through the understanding of root cause to improve the quality of life. The mission of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Mechanical Engineering is “to provide a rigorous hands-on engineering education integrated with liberal arts in a student-centered environment.”

MANAGEMENT

School of Management has persistently built on its unique strength of imparting high-quality management education through pedagogic innovations, encouraging business-academia interface and emphasizing on its twin objective of influencing practice and promoting value based growth. At School of Management, students are treated as managers under training. Training is imparted round-the-clock, seven days a week. Projects and assignments are given utmost importance and students learn on the job.

HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE

Humanities is the study of the human condition by analytics, which includes literature, language, linguistics, arts, music, theater and visual art. Social Sciences is the study of the human condition by empiricism include sociology, psychology, history, education, economics, political science, and the like.

COMMERCE

The programs in commerce equip graduates with technical and managerial skills necessary to understand and participate in modern business world and allow them to achieve the highest level of success in their professional career. The purpose of the programs is to provide a solid foundation in finance & accounts, economics, quantitative methods through exposing them to multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills.

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

The Department of Computer Applications is one of the pioneering departments of the University that is committed to imparting quality education in the emergent sub-fields of IT. The students are provided with plentiful opportunities to develop their organizational skills along with subject knowledge. The teaching methodology is result oriented as the students attend lectures, seminars, workshops and professional tours in order to realize their domain properly so that they may innovate and achieve new heights.

The School of Design at Graphic Era Hill University is committed to reflecting the cultural and racial diversity of our constituency through the content of our programs as well as the recruitment of faculty, staff, and students.

ALLIED SCIENCES

Excellence in studies of Allied Sciences has always been the hall mark of Graphic Era Hill University. The school was established with the objective of teaching Allied Sciences in different branches of Engineering. The mission of the school of allied sciences is to prepare the graduates, post graduates and research scholars to apply basic and advanced engineering knowledge and skills.

PHARMACY

The School of Pharmacy is a new endeavor of Graphic Era Hill University, that has been established in 2018 to train pharmacy professionals who would serve the society and help to solve the health care problems of our country. It has qualified and experienced faculty members, well-equipped laboratories, excellent library facility and sufficient industry exposure to prepare trained manpower in the field of pharmacy.

MEDIA AND MASS COMMUNICATION

The Department of Media and Mass Communication at Graphic Era Hill University offers ample opportunities to students to gain practical work experience through industry oriented curriculum, internships, and placements in relevant organizations and interaction with leading professionals. Our students produce high-quality project works which are at par with professional standards.

AGRICULTURE SCIENCE

Studying Agricultural Science in GEHU implies a deep exploration of an archaic lifestyle and multiple opportunities in innovation & technology. The School of Law envisions to achieve supremacy in legal education through innovative teaching, experiential learning, creative inquiry, social awareness and research.

HOTEL ANS HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Department of Hospitality Management was established keeping in mind the need for providing quality skilled manpower for hospitality industry. Since then the department continues to prepare dedicated industry professionals and focuses on training the students in a way that they meet head-on challenges of the hotel industry. The Department of Hospitality Management (GEHU) is one of finest institutions in the field of hospitality management in northern India.

ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING

The School of Architecture & Planning at GEHU brings together an active community of scholars and students to creatively confront the issues facing our cities and metropolitan regions.

ASTROLOGY

Jyotish is a science of the influence of human and terrestrial affairs. The planetary motion and time do have a great influence on us. With the regular movement of planets, one can foretell the destinies of human beings. Three divisions of Jyotish are Siddhant, Hora and Samhita. Our course is mainly focused on “Hora”. Past deeds and predestination have a definite role to play. Astrology is a divine science which is based on Astronomical and mathematical calculations. Hence, it is only through the study of Vedic Astrology the secret of fate and free will can be deciphered.

NURSING

Studying a bachelors in nursing from Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal, is your doorway to a fulfilling and gratifying career in the healthcare sector. Accepted worldwide, the degree in nursing equips students to serve all of humanity through medical treatment, and to assist doctors to treat patients with patience, affection and care.

VOCATIONAL STUDIES

In pursuit to provide the required skill-sets needed for meaningful employment of the students, the School of Vocational Studies (SVS) is running a regular degree programme in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The programme has been duly approved by UGC and it also follows the guidelines provided by National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The department endeavors to provide skilled professional with a focus on self employed persons.

Sports Facilities

The sports committee believe in developing the overall personality of students. It organizes inter and intra-college level football, cricket, basketball tournaments. There are also facilities for all indoor games including table tennis, badminton, billiards, carom and chess etc. The sports week is organised in each session where students participate with full enthusiasm.

Transport

College buses pickup and drop day Scholars from specified locations in Dehradun city and en-route, on payment of a nominal fee. City bus facility is also available for college gate to City from morning 7:00 a.m. to evening 9 p.m. at frequent intervals of 15 minutes.

Cafeteria

Variety is the Spice of life- this is what our cafeteria reflect. Our canteens offers vegetarian delicious and caters to the diverse palates, and for the health freaks, we have a delicious juice counter providing fresh fruit juice. Delicious food is prepared according to strict standards of hygiene.

Guest House

A guest house comprising 12 AC and non AC rooms available within the campus to the Guardians on actual availability basis on nominal charges.

Hostel Facilities

Residential living provide a safe environment in innumerable residence halls, dining service with nutrious and sustainable mails, cultivates community feeling and enhance your educational experience on campus. Every effort is made that the hostellers get a homely ambience by providing them a home away from home.

Mess

Tastefully designed state-of-the-art mess buildings, separate for boys and girls have been created inside the campus, which are equipped with modern hygienic mechanized kitchen consisting of latest advanced equipments to cater 400 students at a time

Shivam Singh

He credits the University as playing no small part in helping him get there. He confesses that the two years of MBA were a fantastic preparation for his professional life. Shivam is passionate about putting people first within companies –bringing out their true strengths and personalities, rather than making them conform to a generic corporate persona. All this developed through the two years of his post graduation in the University as he was given the space to practically demonstrate all her knowledge. He says that studying in a regular University with thousands of students around, has taught him to get a sense of a whole person, and not just his nine-to-five self.

Gaurav Negi

He did his Masters in Business Administration in the batch 2016-2018. His intellect, agility, focus and hard work paved way for success. He mastered the soft-skills required for creating niche in the corporate sector.

Deepika Bhatt

She is an alumnus and a gold medalist of BA(JMC) Batch 2011-14. At present she is working as a journalist with Press Trust of India, New Delhi. She has been doing reporting, copy editing and also looks at desk in PTI. She did her post graduation in Journalism from IIMC. Prior to working in PTI she has also worked in Hindustan Times, News Nation, and Aptara (a content developing firm).

Rohit Juglan

He is an alumnus of BA(JMC) Batch 2011-14. At present, he is working as Associate Producer India News. His half an hour shows are broadcast on sports like football, cricket, IPL etc. He does live shows and reporting. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Producer in Samachar Plus where his core area was sports beats. In 2016 he worked as a Producer cum Anchor in Hindi Khabar creating packages on politics, sports, and crime beats.

Shrishti Parmar

Srishti Parmar, a student of BA English honours 2014 batch has proved to be a promising author in making. Her first creation, "7 Days", a novellete was unveiled by Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chancellor, Graphic Era Hill University on 1st June, 2017. It is a beautiful love story against an urban background and incorporates the nuances of modern life intermingled with the sweetness of affection between two individuals.

Blooming Buds

Creativity has always been nurtured in students at Graphic Era Hill University. The Department of English was proud in unveiling "Blooming Buds", a collection of poetry consisting of creations written entirely by the students of English honours of all semesters. These poems beautifully express their feelings and thoughts and provide them an outlet for their creative expression. The book was unveiled on 2nd June, 2017 by honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sanjay Jasola.

Anmol Sarin

He receives scholarship from University of Texas, Dallas and successfully completed his MS.

Neeraj Dangwal

He receives scholarship from University of Texas, Arlington and successfully completed his MS.

Vivek Kharodia

Mr. Vivek Kharodia is an alumnus of B.Sc. Animation & Gaming is a very hard worker and creative also his keen interest in film making has brought him to Bollywood industry .Presently he is a success full Bollywood actor ,director ,writer in Indian film industry and as well as a model also. He won many awards in modeling competition.

Neha Malik

Ms. Neha Malik is a proud alumnus of this department after completing her bachelor degree from Graphic era university department of animation and Gaming directly she earns a job as graphic designer in KOOVS such a big brand. Neha Malik has an extra talent of visualization and creativity which is quite appreciable and helping her to make a hand sum grade in graphic and design industry .Presently She working with Nicobar Design Studio.
